The future is unknown, she could get injured in a car accident and prevent her from working...who knows. What you do know and should continue to do is love the one you are with. BUT I don't expect it from any other man, if they do, it's all good and if I happen to be in the act of opening a door, and I see a man right behind me, I throw in the assist. It's common courtesy.

However, OP, keep opening the door for your wife - ALWAYS.

Nothing wrong with this. The healthcare field seems to be the way to go. Right before my wife graduated PT school we put her resume online, she literally had 20 calls in an hour. We had to take it down. Luckily she found a place she enjoys and currently only works part time so she can take care of the kids some during the week. My goal was to retire at 30 and live off her, she flipped it went part time and at 35 I am still working. Oh well haha

If you're concerned about not wanting to say "She paid for my car parts." just come to an agreement where she pays the behind-the-scenes boring stuff (bills, mortgage, etc.) and you pay for the publicly visible things (going out to eat, a supercharger, etc.). Lol. That way it's technically not her money buying your car parts!
