I think it will fit nicely. Sure it's a little big but considering how fast the clutch fluid gets dirty I will still prob have to change it out every month or so, considering how much I drive.

Also check out the new Kooks LTs I put in Monday. The SLP blower goes into tmro. I will see if I can mount this as well!

And finally the cap is vented but it should not matter considering the amount of fluid vs the moisture that is in the air. Not sure if I will mount it there, but it at least gives you an idea of the size.

Looks good, especially if you plan on changing fluid monthly or so. You would be surprised how hydroscopic the fluid is if you tested it with brake fluid test strips, but it should be fine for a month at least. Wilwood vents the caps because they assume it's going on a racecar that gets regular fluid changes anyway. I hadn't seen that particular reservoir before, so I didn't know if it was vented or not.

I used some old aluminum brackets that I had laying around. Unfortunately we did not have aluminum welding rods and well, tack welding made a damn mess. It will hold, but not as strong as I would like.

The nipple on the reservoir is 3/8 but I was able to get 5/16 on it. I found the brake fluid line on pegasus. Hopefully I will have a better bracket made in the next couple weeks. That and I need some longer bolts so I can use nylon locking nuts.

Nice job! Looking to do same. A few questions 1) How/where did you attach the bracket? How come you didn't use the 3/8" hose that came with the kit to attach to the nipple resovior fitting adaptor?

The nipple at the firewall is 5/16.

I drilled a hole in the positive terminal bracket. I am hoping that the welds will hold. There is some movement. I'll keep checking it. If I see signs of wear, I will shorten the bracket and lengthen the fluid line, bringing the reservoir closer to the positive terminal post.

Gotcha about the hose size. I already have the JDP clutch reservoir. I'm looking to replace it with the Wilwood 10oz reservoir, based on your pic, I think it should fit in the same space as the JDP reservoir ( see below pic). I'll gonna try to use my JDP bracket to mount the Wilwood reservoir ( probably have to drill new holes in the JDP bracket). What do you think?

I wouldn't because of the weight of the wilwood. Like I said I am going to keep an eye on any possible reason for failure. If my clutch goes out on the highway or something it could be very dangerous. Wildwood makes a smaller capacity reservoir that is still bigger than the JDP, which might work on that bracket.

What would be nice is if the stock top on the JDP resivoir fit on a Wilwood resivoir.

The JDP piece is just a stock GTO resivoir. So that cap should be easy enough to get.

Thanks for the reply, sound advice! Maybe I'll see if I can somehow get a bracket fabbed where one end connects to the brake reservoir like the JDP bracket and where the other end can be screwed into the strut tower. If not then I'll see about the smaller Wilwood 7oz reservoir.

Anyway good luck with your setup. Also, I'd be real interested if you can post a followup about how long the fluid in your 10 oz reservoir is staying clean before it needs flushing.

Sorry to say that it does not fit.

I wonder if a cap off of something else fits. That vented aspect sounds like a pain... other than that. Great job...

Once a month is much better than twice a week.

Is there a rubber diaphragm on the underside of the Wilwood cap? If so you still may have a complete seal, similar to an OE cap. If it is truely vented, I think it is very important to get this reservoir closed up.

I have the 7oz Wilwood coming this week. I was also looking at the JDP mount

Concerning that JDP bracket, how long is it beyond the brake master cylinder where the GTO reservoir mounts? Besides the increase in weight of the 7oz WIlwood, will the Wilwood mount to the JDP?
