The prices on classic cars and trucks is about to fall through the floor. An entire nation that hasn't seen a new ride since the Cuban Missle Crisis. Either that or "Cuban classic" is about to be the most expensive class of classic car ever known.

Subscribe to Hemmings Motor News instead and save time and money on a trip to look at the old iron and the cost of shipping it back to your home. Don't forget- Cuba is an island in the ocean. Sure the place is warm. That doesn't mean the salt air hasn't supported corrosion or that these cars haven't taken a few spins on the beach.

I have doubts about that. As the saying goes- the junkyard is full of classics too. This might be a source of parts, but frankly not many people will want to spend $ on refurbing an original, but damaged or incomplete part when the same money could get a reproduction piece that was not originally made by a drunk auto worker. Quality controls, metallurgy, work standards, and overall quality was not what nostalgia makes it.

I'm sure plenty of good cars will be available, but not in great enough numbers or in a short enough time span to affect the existing old car market. Just my two cents as somebody that was in that hobby for over 20 years and has been aware of these Cuban cars for just about as long.

Plenty for sale if you go to Europe. Great cuisine can be had, too.
