I'm not saying there isn't a possibility this will become a production model. They built a Silverado ZR2 concept a couple years ago that never made it to production.

Looks much better than those renderings. I think this would look even better in a crew cab, and I think a Canyon version would be very sweet!

That thing looks awesome, but I won't hold my breath until I see it on showroom floors...LOOKING EXACTLY LIKE THIS.

I liked this truck yesterday, I love it today. Build it just like this and offer it in Laser Blue. Anybody think it could start under 40k? I don't see a need for the bed mounted wheel, that should lower the price.

I'd order right this now if I could. I had an emerald green '96 ZR2, my favorite vehicle ever. I'd trade my SS for this!

I'd take one in white, black wheels, diesel, stick shift (if it'll be offered) and without the tire in the bed. Good looking truck

honestly, they need to build this. GM doesnt have anything to compete with the Raptor as far as off road capable vehicles.

I like it, but I'm hesitant about the engine. From a practical stand point this is probably the better choice than the Raptor. However I've never been about practicality when it comes to my vehicles..

Imagine this thing with the LT1. It would be awesome.

Yeah, the diesel strikes me as an odd choice for this kind of truck. Would have thought they'd at least put the V6 in there, if not something a little crazy like the 5.3 from the Silverado or even the LT1/L86 (or LF3 V6). Now, a rock crawler with a diesel? That makes perfect sense.

Like someone else mentioned, I suspect that this was to bring attention to the diesel engine (while gauging interest in this type of truck). I would be surprised if this went into production & you couldn't get it with the V6.
