I'm not a very rash person, but it is unbelievably frustrating. We were together for just under 2 years, and within a week, was just "no longer happy".

WTF does that even mean? How do you go from "I am so in love with you" (exact words) to "I don't know if I can ever be happy with you, and think I would be happier with someone else"

*note - there is no "someone else", he is just hypothetical at this point

I can only imagine what it's like. I've only been in 2 serious relationships. My last one was the beginning of my senior year until I started college. So about a year, I had my reasons for breaking up with him, college being the biggest one (yes, he's still in high school). Did I love him? Yes. Do I still love him? Of course. But this is one of those things that you have to deal with. I'm gonna quote the typical cliché, "If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was, and always will be yours. If it never returns, it was never yours to begin with." Which it's true no matter how cliché. Who knows in 2 years from now, y'all might be back together. If it's meant to be, then it's meant to be.

See ok...here is the thing. I don't even want her back. I am not a trusting person, and she broke my trust - I could never have another relationship with her; neither romantic or friendly. But, even knowing this, I still miss her. Its paradoxical, and totally illogical and I have no idea what the **** I am doing. Hormones suck.

It's a given you're going to miss her. It's hard to throw away 2 years of a relationship
