if you are not putting either on the track, anything will get you from point A to point B. Just depends on what you want to look like when you arrive. To have a GTR to 'just drive around' is not for me.

If you are having fun on the track throughout the year, go for it.

And why are there far more ZL1's for sale ?

Doesn't matter, specs and pricing has been released. Like I said, it's MY opinion. I prefer manual trans cars and although the GTR is a beast I'd never want one. Plus if OP can afford a GTR he can afford a new Z06. You do know how the new Z28 faired against Godzilla right?

^^^ Lol exactly, the Z28 can be faster on some tracks, but lets be real here, a z28 runs on almost slick tires, you think you cant do a tire swap on a GTR?
Also, the times wrung out of a z28 are done by a pro, avg to avg driver I would give the nod to GTR.

FYI, I am not a fan of the GTR, just realistic in what it can do with such thin and lesser performing tires.

Between the two GTR or c7z.. Ill take a used ZR1 and save some monnnay!

I'm pretty sure that the GTR is over 3800 lbs which is not light by any means.

I'm also pretty sure that a GTR gets attention. I've only seen a GTR once and you really can't miss such a big ass car. It honestly looked bigger and meaner than a Camaro. I remember the exhaust looking huge. Also probab;y over 90% of the population can't tell a ZL1 from a V6 (some have a hard time telling a Mustang from a Camaro), and trust me, most people are probably used to seeing a Camaro by now.

A professor at my campus drives one. You are right about the size. That was the first time I saw one and if I wasn't brought up in a family who worships American cars I'd call it my dream car.
