I was about to say man. Being a holder of an AL CCW myself, you gotta be careful with "fightin' words." Those will negate a legit self defense in a heartbeat...

I had a similar situation with my brother in law this weekend. A Jeep Cherokee flew up on us on a 40 mph rough country road. He was probably doing 80. Road my b-i-l rearend for a mile. He hit the brakes, guy slowed down, and then got right back on us. Evidently this had happened about 3 other times with the same guy. My b-i-l said hold on, locked up the brakes in the middle of the road, thru the old ford pickup in park, jumped out. I looked over and the guy was driving through a deep ditch to get around us and took off. I do not think he will do it again. I almost wet myself, I can not imagine what the other guy did. Sorry to hear about the jerks in the world, maybe including my brother in law. You did the right thing.

Has nothing to do with liberals or conservatives. Don't know where that came from. It's more about assholes and civilized people, really.

SSOOCH, you did the right thing, because I know it must have been tempting to just straighten them out. But if you had, you know these pussies would be the first ones crying for the cops to come.

That's because 50 years ago, people drove cars that could rip through ours like tinfoil.

You made the right decision by not reacting. I am not as level headed when it comes to dealing with people who thinks they can walk over me or disrespect my property.

Just yesterday, I took my 5 year old son for a drive to get dinner, along the way, I stopped for gas and was waiting for a pump, and as the guy at the first pump starts to get ready to leave, big-foot wannabe truck goes around me to take it, the male driver sped past the pump, quickly goes into reverse to do a 3-point turn so he can get his tank side lined up to the pump. Well, I wasn't sleeping so I still beat him to the pump. As I got out, he drove really close to the side of my car, stopped, gave me a "im going to beat your A$$ look" and said something to his buddy. I opened the pass door and told my son to close his eyes. He jumped out of his truck, I had smirk on my face and took a few steps to meet him (in my head, I wondered if a chop to the throat will bring him down quickest or should I F*^K him up good first). He must have sensed I wasn't intimated and was ready, he stopped, nod his head, and got in the truck and drove off. It could have gotten ugly there, and I would have regretted escalating the minor issue, especially with my son with me. I need to do a better job at controlling my reaction to this kind of crap that low-lifes and stupid people do.

Folks like this aren't worth the price of a bullet. Even more so since ammo is in short supply these days! We have the same issues in WA. It's everywhere!

I told her of I took a crap on the front seat of her Lexus then that would just be a car but the Camaro was my dream. Realization crossed her face and we changed the subject. Turned put to be a nice person but I think she appreciates other peoples property a little more now
Yeah, but crapping on the Lexus could only improve it.

Good for you.. nice story.. But as General George S. Patton said. "A good plan violently executed right now is far better than a perfect plan executed next week".
