I know that feeling man. I lost my dad to cancer, we weren't very close, he was still my dad. You should be happy you were able to spend some time together.

My Thoughts are with you and your family.

Late Sept 2012 My brother walked into
the E.R.. On 20 Jan 13 he was gone.
Multiple Organ Failure. He was a big boy
and just 51 yrs old. And like you said Timna he is
no longer in pain.

You all are great, I really appreciate all the comments and stories. It wakes me up and helps knowing we all are one in the same, most everyone has had someone pass on and experienced grief. Cancer is such a horrible disease and I pray they find a cure soon.

I tell everyone that we need to learn from my sisters passing and not make the same mistakes. She trusted in one doctor she told me "he is my savior". But months later he dropped her once she finally saw another doctor. Her tumor was the size of a baseball when they found it yet her doctor would not operate due to being so large.

She finally went to another doctor but by this time it was the size of a persons head. The doctor said to her "it could have been removed when it was first found, why wasn't it"?

Moral of the story is always get a 2nd opinion even if the doctor is your own spouse, relative etc, just do it, it may change the outcome of your fate.

My big sis taught me a lot in life, she stepped up and became the family matriarch and taught us that life was worth living even though we lost someone great like my mom. I think the most important thing she taught me was that it doesn't matter what kind of car you drive, how big you house is or how much money you have. In the end it only matters how many lives you touched and how loved you are. Without love nothing matters.

Thank you everyone for listening and allowing my sister to be in your heart.
My life will be about sharing her story so no one will ever forget her.

I feel very bad for your sister. Ill pray for her tonight.
I just had my fourth operation on Wednesday for limphnode cancer and just hope this is the one final time. Frigging sucks about the doctor not at least send her to another doctor.
I've found that keeping friends and family close helps so much. you sound like you were a great brother. I have a couple great brothers also.

Very sorry for your loss. Cancer is a devastating disease that impacts an entire family. I hope you and your family can recover from this loss with the strength of your memories of her life.
