They don't operate like Chevy and the Corvette. That is GM's deficiency.

The Viper is getting a HP bump for the '15 MY. So no worries there.

Probably some revisions to help with cooling.

From what I read on one of the forums it's going under the knife all the way. They're making changes to the front, adding a supercharged 6.2l, and updating the interior to reflect the other Dodge cars.

The Challenger looks good, but its time for a refresh. Hopefully the changes are good looking changes. Doubt we will see a new generation for at least a few years or so

From what I saw on one off the Challenger forums there's a report that they aren't doing a next gen Challenger/Charger until the 2017 MY. I guess they want to milk this platform for all it's worth, but won't that put them 2-3yrs behind Ford and Chevy?

She's not fat, just got big bones

My 10 Challenger (6.1L) SRT8 is faster than my 12 Camaro SS/RS & I paid less for the SRT8 new. The 11 & newer 6.4L SRT8s run mid to low 12s stock. I drove the 6.4L Challenger on Daytona Speedway during track day & they handle amazingly well.

I wouldn't expect anything less than that from the Mopar team. I can see them now...

Gonna need every bit of that to keep up with the GT500 in a drag race.

I'm sure they will give it some suspension goodness as well, but can't see the Challenger giving the ZL1 fits on a track.

Looking forward to this.
I think that if the 6.2L hellcat is in the neighborhood of 625 hp it will give the 13/14 500s all that they can handle (stock vs stock) in the 1/4 mile given that it will have the automatic transmission advantage. I also think that like Ford, Dodge really doesn't care much about the twisty tracks they want street dominance.

I agree 100% that if it gets an 8 speed auto tranny it will probably be the dominate force for most people at the strip.

Look at the incredible times the auto C7 is doing now...deep into the 11s while the other independant runs I saw were in low to mid 12s with the manual.

Also everyone is comparing a srt8 to a zl1. The srt8 lacks the blower and all the components that go along with it that will add a good chunk of weight over the front of the car. So thus car even with lighter parts my just weigh the same it more and it might be more front biased then before.
