If I ever get to a NASCAR Cup race, I want to go there.

Garage parking is my only relief when I visit.
Except garage parking is $25/day.
SF is anti-car and does everything possible to make driving inconvenient and expensive.
I take BART or ride a motorcycle to the city.

I see a few of these around... but not near this intersection.

You can "beat" a red light camera. I was driving through FL in my SS late at night with almost no one else on the road. As I was coming up to a town, at the first light, I noticed a car already sitting at it. I am thinking that it would turn green before I get there and maintain my speed. Well, I wait until the last second and decide that it is not going to turn and hit the brakes. As I stopped I notice lights flash, I'm thinking wth was that. I did stop where you are supposed to. The light turns and I continue on and at the next light I see a sign for a red light camera and realized that I tripped the one on the light before. All they got was an empty intersection!

I agree that BART or a motorcycle (though I don't ride) are better options. Lately, I have been there for very short visits. I spend most of my time in the Eastbay or Sacramento.
SF is extremely anti-car!

Darn ! We only have a two story Wal Mart with an elevator. The store was once a J.C. Penney.

How is what you described "beating" the red light camera? If you stopped...then you're not supposed to get a ticket. And those things flash all the time at night when no one's in the intersection around here.

That's why the quote around beat. We don't have those things where I am from, so I don't know much about them. Just the fact I tripped it and didn't get a ticket.
