So, I had to look it up. The Charger R/T is pretty hard to find in the 2009 and earlier according to cars.com for my area (150 miles). Most were around 50-70k miles and the prices ranged from 20,400 to 22,500.

Did the same for the G8. 20,300 to 24,500.

Pretty neck and neck.

I've driven in the 1st gen Charger, not impressed. Rear leg room was nowhere near as good as my G8. I've only sat in the 2nd gen Charger and I'm still not all that impressed by the interior. As for performance its a driver's race between an RT and a GT. Plenty of varying times to show that both cars range from low 13's to low 14's. Lots of people seem to be weary of the G8 GT's potential. I've ran against Camaro's with the L99 and I've never been further back than their rear bumper. Give the G8 the same rear gearing as the SS and all of a sudden that could be a driver's race as well.

Honestly about what i figured, they seem to hold their value considerably better than their FWD counterparts.

More less, but on the interior, really? I agree on the leg room vs the 1st gen Charger, but after being in an 11+ and being in and driving a friends 09 G8 GT, the interior in the Charger is worlds better with much higher quality interior materials.

The interior of an upper R/T is better than the G8.

I did see a 2nd Gen Charger on the road and I do have to admit. It did look good. They have similar specs. I started looking for some R/Ts. But when I started looking at photos. I said "I don't want to own this!" The car isn't that exciting to me. If I mod the exterior, maybe.
