Good looking Hyundia ! ! ! !
Congrats to your wife !

My sis had a '01 Accent !

For those that say hyundia's are junk.!
In over 20 yrs of owning different G.M Chevrolets
The Hyundia was the 1st car she traded off that
DID NOT have a mechanical problem as the reason for the trade !

And why wouldn't you call it nav? Pops up on the DIC and on the radio, plus it talks and reroutes without having to cal! Works great in the States...!
Corrected that for you... There's no way "navigation" works here so even the 2SS/RS doesn't have any kind of satnav for me.

Lol, this is true... Come move over here and it will work, but that's about the only reason I would come if I were you!

No, I'm clueless about the engines that they're stuffing into hyundais. I was assuming that the top of the line "turbo" would compete with a MS3 or a Focus ST etc. and those cars would beat a 2LS.

Not saying that it isn't
Scoot wanted to know why the OPs wife didn't choose an LS, and I listed reasons why she probably didn't. I would take the Camaro anyday.

As stated, this is what the wife wanted. I am a Chevy guy all the way. It's a nice car with a good warranty and all of the consumer reports highly rate the car. Lets end the talk of what this has and compare it against the LS model I am not embarrassed to drive the car, I happen to like the "rally car" look. Thanks for the compliments.
You have more pics of your green machine, and how long you had it.I can't say anything about those cars like what you got,but the styling is cool and I do see a lot of them running around.

I think Hyundai hit a homerun on the styling of this car. It is sweet, congrats!

Nice ride and these guys fail to realize your statement - you bought it for the wife not to take it down the quarter mile against a camaro.
They also fail to realize the adage if the wife is happy you is happy.
I believe Hyundai has came a long way in the last couple of years and another thing the warranty is better than the GM warranty as well.

It's a nice little turbo that runs on 87.
This is their GDI engine platform. It's not going to burn up the streets, but it gets close to 30mpg. Designed to compete in the small "rally" car segment like the focus and Mazda. It's got their equal to onstar free for a year.a touchscreen dash, 450 watt system with a sub, leather, hands free calling and texting. All this for 23k.

As for my green machine, I have had that for 7 years now. Dragged out of the desert of Arizona and rebuilt over a 6 year period.

Congrats! That is a sharp car. I looked at one last year. I had been waiting for the turbo, my BIL who works for a Hyundai dealer called me the moment they got one in. I flew over there to test drive it. I didn't buy it. Driving my Vette to the dealer probably put a huge damper on the test drive, but I felt like it wouldn't budge until you hit 50.

And by the way, Hyundai makes a heck of a car these days, great quality for a great price.

Nice car brother, i have a Veloster Turbo also. Had it about 10 months now, it's my work car. I do mobile vascular ultrasound and drive 250 miles/day. I have 57,000 miles on it right now and have averaged 33 mpg. Love the car, not one problem so far! The only issue i have is harsh suspension...
