there was one thread about one car having problem. So, it's an isolated incident so far.

yeah and i talked to a guy about that guy that had the problem today, he is friends with him and the problem happened because he is very rough on cars and he was just tearing it up, thats why he broke the output shaft

but yeah they both have the same tranny so......... you kinda make no sense saying the tranny is no good. so good luck with the car buddy i hope you still get a camaro in the future

The only problem I've read about any transmission breakage is an output shaft was broke on ONE car.... That's ONE car! So as far as I know, there is no issues with the M6 tranny's on the Camaro and why didn't you just order the RS package and have it installed when it arrived. I wanted the Halo lights but was to late to change my order but didn't let that stop me from taking delivery.... I'll just add it all later! not an issue IMO!

If there are transmissions failing, they aren't getting fixed by dealers under warranty.

Just so it's clear... You pulled up an M6 warrantee repair inquiry, and none existed?

If there are no warranty claims, does that mean these guys are lying?

Also seen some on other forums, rumor is its a heat treating issue from Tremec.

Sorry, I won't debate this with you.

I am deeply bothered with a post that a member of this site went out and bought a Mustang, all but thanking Camaro5 for alerting him to this huge problem with the M6.

There isn't one.

Did someone break a transmision? I have to take their word for it. If they did, I have full confidence it was repaired or replaced under the 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

Truth of the matter is this guy probably never had a camaro on order and probably doesn't have a 2010 GT500. Nice way to post stuff 1) without pics of your new car and 2) run in circles about a tranny thats the same in both the SS and GT500.

Way to make yourself look like a fool. Please be gone with your lies poser..

Tranmission breakage is rumor crap.......if it isn't you got bigger problems, the GT500 uses the same trans as the Camaro with more torque and the same weight which = disaster......So I call BS

You need to go and pay a visit in the Warranty/repair subforum if you don't think some transmissions are failing. Mine failed and is now getting taken care of under warranty.
