Nope. It's just a matter of time before someone else wishes to discuss the possibility of a 5th Gen Firebird or TA. If they want to talk about it and do a search, they will find this thread....which will have been closed...and will then proceed to make a new thread...which we will have to merge.

I love Firebirds. One of my favorite cars of all time was my '78 Pontiac Trans Am. I want another one...

Anyway, they will not bring back the Firebird. They have indefinitely shelved the next Corvette, the Corvette chief Tom Wallace has suddenly "retired" after only 3 years in the role.

GM is spending most of their money on the Volt, not a new Firebird. Sucks, but true.

A lot of people would be threatened by a new Firebird. It would probably look even better than the Camaro, put out more hp and have more goodies than the Camaro. It would most likely cost more too.

i doubt it....

might look better, and have more interior goodies, but like nearly every bird that has rolled off the line, it will be slightly under the top camaro in performance.
