oh get over it.. they could have done a 0 down lease for 150 a month on a POS import grocery getter and still kept the real car.
and insurance on the Camaro would have gone to nothing being it would be a secondary car.

no money tree at all just smart.

I applaud you for sacrificing and making a good decision based on your needs. I know it was probably hard to give up your Camaro.

Got to do what pleases the wife and there certainly nothing wrong with that. I have a 2009 Honda Accord and we love the car.

Well if you love your country then you should be happy that he bought an Accord. This is the 31st year that they've been built in Ohio for over 9,000,000 Cars. That kept a lot of US Americans working. That makes me somewhat ashamed to be buying GM cars and trucks that aren't built here.
Contrasts to the OP. Hope your wife enjoys her new ride.

No criticism... Gotta do whatcha gotta do. But the Honda is like the Anti-Camaro. All practicality and no personality It certainly has it's highly valued place in the automotive world but it's not every day that people switch between them !

I had a similiar situation but I set down and did some figuring and found out that I could buy a 2011 Chevy Cruze in LT trim. The payments per month would be less then what I was spending in fuel with the camaro and my 2004 Duramax. So, bought the Cruze, let the truck and camaro sit when not needed and it was pretty much a wash in money out of my pocket per year.

About the only difference was insurance and registration cost for the new car, other then that, there was really no increase in cost picking up the new Cruze.
