The surgery went good. They found one big tumor and two small ones. He scraped them out and biopsied the surrounding tissue and muscle to see if it has spread further than the bladder. The pathologist will have results on the biopsied areas on Friday. She showed a false pregnancy on the blood test before the surgery. There is no way she is pregnant. She just got off her period last week. The doctor said this can be caused by cariocarcinoma. It's an agressive cancer of the uterus. I guess the cariocarcinoma makes the HCG levels show up as if she is pregnant. She has to go in to a Gynecologist for more pregnancy tests right away. If she is for sure not pregnant (there is no possible way she is pregnant) then she has to go to a gynecology Oncologist to see what is going on. Our meeting with the current surgeon is next Thursday to chart a course after we know what the pathologist has to say about the biopsies. She's pretty scared, especially after the cariocarcinoma thing came up. Thanks again for all the prayers.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Pray, and I will pray for the both of you too. Never underestimate the power of God. He can hear us and won't let us down.

Found out today from preliminary pathology tests that Amy is at T1 at least and could be more after full report is in. They say the bladder has to come out. Cancer is in the lining. Full pathology report will tell us if it is in the muscle around bladder. We have to go to USC to have bladder removed and have the Dr. there make her a neo bladder out of her intestines that will be interior hooked to urethra. If cancer has spread to muscle tissue, then an exterior bag will need to used. Not a good day, very sad.

I'm not the praying type of person, but my best wishes for Amy are going out telekinetically right now. Hang in there man.

Just keeping everyone up to date. We went back in 3- 4 weeks after last surgery and they found another large tumor in her bladder. They were surprised that one had already cropped up. The doctor said her cancer is a very aggressive and mean looking cancer. She starts chemotherapy treatment on August 6th. They are putting BCG and Interferon together in her bladder once per week for 2 hours for 6 weeks. Then another surgery and biopsy to see if that halted the cancer in her bladder. If not, then the bladder comes out, if it is halted then, they go back in monthly then quarterly to make sure it's gone. She is keeping a very positive attitude and is not wimpy about it all. She says it amazes her that at the bank she manages, people take time off for all kinds of small aches and pains. Thanks again for all the prayers, it must be working because they originally said they needed to act quickly and take the bladder out right away. Now it looks like there is a chance for her to keep her bladder. The first biopsy said the cancer was in the muscle around the bladder, now the last says it is not in the muscle tissue.
