You're Right about everything you say, but it looks more like a mid cycle make over of the old one than an all new truck.

I'm not fond of a hatchback design, but I'm glad they finally got rid of that wrap around rear glass. That dated back to around 1978 or so. The new "hatchback" looks tons better.

Every part may indeed be different, but nothing too ground breaking to be seen anywhere. Pretty much the same general look of the old one, and it's true most people won't even realize it's been totally redesigned. I like the vette, but the truck was definitely a let down.

And the Fords are? They've had the same basic design for years now. Specifically the Super Duty cabs.

There isn't a whole lot you can do with a cab and a bed.

Hey I'm not Ford fan, just saying Chevrolet could have been a bit more daring in their redesign. My dad has a 2011, and was really looking forward to seeing the new redesign, and couldn't wait to see what it looked like... When he saw it he was really let down, and isn't nearly as excited about getting a new truck, and will likely just keep his current one since it looks very similar to the "totally new" one. I've heard similar stories from others. Oh well, I guess they figure if you liked the old one you'll like the new one too.
