The smart phone GPS (not a real GPS) does not allways find you depending on your location. OnStar can not give me directions in some areas I drive in so the OnStar operator verbally tells me the directions all at once. That isn't really satisfactory.

The only solution that works 100% everywhere I need to go is the true aftermarket GPS unit such as a TomTom or a Garmin. You can take it with you into another one of your cars or even into a rental car and it requires no subscription fees.
