As far as the "talking on the phone and driving" issue, I think the main concerns are teenagers. I know over 6+ people 16-20 years old who have got in car wrecks because they were on the phone. I don't really see a problem with people doing it, only if they pay attention and watch the road.

Personally if someone calls me while I'm driving I'll answer it, but I tend to keep the conversation at a minimum.

In my experience, its not just talking on the phone. A friend of mine was scanning radio stations and just drifted into a parked car. People somehow forget that they are controlling a two ton missile and they just get too comfortable. I think the best thing is for people to remember that driving is a responsibility - not a chore, not a right, not a time to retreat into your own personal bubble nor to multitask nor to goof off - but instead, when they are on the road they should be engaging in pure interaction with the other drivers - monitoring their positions and movements, judging their habits, signaling your intentions, and being aware of hazards.

Apple's not that bad, and even Microsoft will admit that their interfaces are awesome.

However, it would be pretty simple to give someone multiple options. If you use iTunes you could sync it with the car, if you use WMP you could sync that with the car type of deal.

+1.... I agree with ya Justin.... Apple's not that bad... neither is Microsoft.... but I think from a car manufactures point of view, I guess offering something really generic would be the best... as it would suit the needs of many different customers taste for mp3 players. But I would love to see something that syncs the Ipod...love the ipod for ever.

I just want the best sound system that GM can put in the car and have as many speakers as possible, Didn't Pontiac put speakers in the head rest of the trans am, Now I would like that as a option.

You still have to admit, if this was an Apple product we were talk about, we'd all be in court right now, and this site would be shut down.

I just got an XM kit for Christmas, and after seeing the hassle I'll have to go through to install it, just give me integrated satellite radio and I'll be happy. Phone calls can wait for the home or office.

Well, they did just sue the crap out of one blogger who talked about an upcoming product and shut his site down. If that isn't a crappy company to be a fan of, I don't know what is. Combined with the sub-par, extra expensive products and the enigmatic leader, I can only see them as a cult

I have a Bluetooth phone and I can't figure out how to sync it with anything anyway. I don't really need Bluetooth since I apparently can't use it right.
