The first one made me throw up a little.

The 2nd one is pretty hot.

1st one with the blackout looks worse than the current design. Keeping the current design would be better than the 1st one. You gotta be able to "let go", so many people eye-shop with their feelings, yet they make decisions with their head. They will say "keep pontiac", "give me a 1969 mustang" and "make a new retro-car", but when something better crops up on the market, that looks a little hotter, goes a little faster, has better value, that's where the people will go, and the auto-company will lose money because they thought people valued a name, or certain look.

The second design looks freaking AWESOME. Dare I even say better than the current Camaro.
