it's called, Exhibition of Speed", encompasses tire spinning, loud exhaust, fast acceleration, accelerating fast up to the speed limit, revving your engine at someone at a light, .....Anything that can be interpreted as enticement to a speed competition.

You can get a ticket without even moving a single foot, just try power braking at a restaurant in place without even moving. Ask me how I know.......
that was LOTS of years ago.

Yea, thats it; exhibition of speed. Thanks, was driving me nutz. Speaking of that, this pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel in his pants, bartender says hey, do you know you have a steering wheel sticking out of your pants, pirate says, "ARRRRR, it's driving me nuts"

I hope everyone gets a wreak-less driving ticket. Personally I would take one every time I go out. Maybe it will lower my insurance premiums .

If I was 18-25, I probably would have stomped it and smoked him, but being 35, I saw that it was a danger to the public to race because traffic was heavy and pedestrians were on the sidewalk. It didn't help when my girlfriend told me to smoke him. But I thought, I have nothing to prove, and only pay $80 a month for full coverage insurance with geico. Not worth it. So ignored the idiot, and when he realized I wasn't going to be provoked, he stomped on the accelerator and went about 60 in a 30 MPH zone. Lo and behold the next thing I see is a police car blow by me and pull up behind him. That ticket won't be cheap and the idiots insurance will go up.

This made me think of the thread a few weeks ago where the op complained people kept trying to race him in lame cars. I am just glad that common sense rules now, and I am not the immature punk I was. I would be angry if i got a ticket racing an audi station wagon. I am pretty sure that betweeen the two of us, if we had raced, the cop would have gone after me. I just smiled at my girlfriend and told her that's why you have points in your driver license and pay so much for insurance.
Good job, brother.

No need to race people. We know we're fast and don't need to prove it.

$80/month for just your Camaro???? I pay a total of $105/month through Westfield for my '11 2SS/RS & '12 2LS/LFX.

You might want to shop around a little for better insurance. I used to be with Geico.

I live in louisiana where we have the highest rates in the country thanks to our 20,000 attorneys. I'm paying $100 a month for my car and $90 a month for my wife's 4 door accord. I'm with Geico and they were still far cheaper than anyone else I'd talked to...ridiculous!

When i 1st got my car a ricer got the best of me and had to show him what a camaro can really do compared to his glass packed POS. However that was on a long completely empty stretch of road. I am a bit young though, a few other ricers have tried, but i've been pretty good and refused races besides that 1 time ><. There are a ton of ricers around here though. I only pay 78$ a month for my insurance though.

I love when stuff like that happens. Similar story, driving with my girlfriend and the traffic light turned yellow up ahead so i slowed down. My girlfriend told me to speed up and blow the light as it is turning red. No thank you. So a guy flys by and blows the light as it goes red. she said " See, he did it!". not a second later you see the blues come on and chase that guy down.

I put that one down in the very small book of when the man can prove he was right

Again, rarely people think of consequences when immature.

Ok so you have a self-imposed 10 mph over but what about the other guy? I do not condone this behaviour especially from a LEO. While you may not be breaking any laws in your jurisdiction you are definitely not setting a positive example for others to follow. I thought LEOs are supposed to be role models and held to a higher standard than the public... meaning if you want the publics' respect you have to earn it and things like this (if it gets out or turns horribly wrong) sullys the reputation of the whole force.

To the OP, good job!
