My question is, if the car can handle it, and is properly equipped, what is people's problem with it?

He probably has a Ford superduty that broke down and needed to get to the track. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta.......

You should pay closer attention to whats on the trailer. There's a set of tires. I'm guessing he's returning from a race or auto-x. Note: numbers on windows and trailer with race tires and tool box. I've see it done many times with Miata's that auto-x. There isn't any place in the car for tires and tools.

That's actually the new Porsche F-911 SuperDuty... it's got a Cummins and an Allison, making it a real stump-puller. The only design "flaw" is the lack of bed capacity, so the trailer is the only way to haul stuff... but I highly recommend the dually rears and the 1/32 ton suspension package.

I wouldn't ever tow anything with my Camaro but I have no problem with anyone towing a small trailer w/ their racing equipment to and from the track. Still pretty funny though.

I see this often on the interstate. There was a convoy on Mustangs and imports rolling to a nearby track event the other day, and many of them had the tools and tires trailing behind them. IMO, more cost-effective than trailering the car. How do you think they guy affords the Porsche? Saving his dough, that's how.

It can save you money up until something bad happens, getting a tow back can be very pricey. We always towed the car to the track, the one time we almost just drove the car to the track a rod bearing decided it was done with life, driving the car there would have made a bad day even worse.

How many times do you think you can get your car towed for the price of a truck, its insurance, and the trailer to put the car on?

I know a guy that towed his '69 SS to the strip with his '69 Z/28 back in the early '70s... Four wheels down!
