Story line? Really?

Its a cartoon about robot aliens kicking each others a**'s, over WHO CARES! I just wanna see robot massacre. Could really care less about a story line... That is what it was all about when i watched them as a kid. Why are people taking these movies so seriously?

Agree with you , i love the transformers cartoons, and i love the movie, michael bay does good job with explosions, so i love everything in the movies, but yeah hopefully unicron will be in this one, damn that a big ass planet eater.

I guess you have to have some story line to all movies. Except a porno, those don't have any and if they did it's pointless also.

How about the dinobots, that would be cool. But for Unicron, it would all be CG and it was stated by Michael Bay, that it would be too difficult to recreate. A planet that eats planets.

It will most likely be more like the new Prime series thats out. More sci fi and less earth like vehicles anyway. The toys have been designed before the movies and due to production time and scheduling it's probly exactly how it will play out. Maybe a sneak peek of a 6th gen just like the 5th in the first Transformers film. The first three stories and character have been drawn out so a complete reboot will be in order. I follow Transformers huge. Here's a few pics of my room, theres probly twice this amount of stuff still boxed up I ran out of room, and when I say that I mean to small of a room lol. I believe there over 750 in total, displayed here I think about 300 maybe. I also replicate full scale weapons, right now I'm doing a 1/4 scale 1st generation Optimus Prime rifle, it's like 4 feet long, actual size would be about 16 feet long. Pics of that later on down the road.

I think a reboot is much more likely than a Prime type series. Who knows though. They signed on for movies without even having story lines yet. Not that the stories really matter so much. I, like you collect all the toys and love Transformers to death, but I don't exactly watch the movies for the intellectual stimulation. How do you feel about them halting the DOTM toyline btw? Pisses me off. I had to have a buddy in Japan grab that HA Soundwave for me, and I was really looking forward to a few other figures that by the looks of it, will never be. Sucks.

I think it's hilarious that people complain about the story sucking. Who cares about the story. For those of us who just enjoy Transformers, its about giant transforming robots blowing stuff up. What more can you ask for?

Exactly, the first was so good because it had the my first car thing going. Which was cool because everyones first car was a POS and you imagined it to be so much more. Yah the DOTM line being dropped was shit, I have the Soundwave coming but I did manage to pick up about 95% of the line through sales and barters for my older stuff from the 80's that I really had no interest in.

I dont understand why everyone is so eager to make up these 6th-gen Camaro rumors.
A MCE (mid-cycle enhancement) hasn't even been released yet. So the all-new 6th-gen is no where near ready to be in a movie. It only exists in sketches and clay models in GM's Design Center.

I am getting really tired of all this 6th-gen false-hype, when the car itself hasn't even been created yet. SMH....

Lets just enjoy our 5th-gen Camaros, and let GM to figure out what they want to do next.... And when its done, they'll tell you.

Yes a good storyline can make a movie based on a cartoon SIGNIFICANTLY better. See The Dark Knight, Sin City, or Capt. America. Ironically, the movie makes the least sense to a TF fan.

It's a good thing that they did.
A movie being released in 2014 would be wrapped up in 2013, right? I doubt GM's that far along with the 6th gen design. This is just another made up rumor, just like everyone made up the rumor that the 1LE was going to be the Z28. People reading into things WAY too much.

New Transformers movie? Maybe a Prequel? Hmm...must be the reason they re-released the new VW Bug...

Bumblebug? Beetlebee?

this.

they aren't going to abandon a franchise that has done so well. may take some time off like the bat-movies did, but it's pretty certain it will keep coming back.

as for the movies themselves, nothing more than mindless, pointless blowing stuff up with sub-par actors and not a hint of story. but sometimes that's just what you want in a movie. everything doesn't have to be the shawshank redemption, or Schindler's list.

don't know how old you are, but the original bumblebee was in fact a yellow WV bug.

So the producers/ writers/ product placement agents/ enterprise participants are just making another installment because it generates huge amounts of money... and that's something to be disgusted over?

I can't think of any other reason to make a movie...

And the fact that these movies DO make money, hand over fist, is proof positive that people WANT to hand over their money to see the movies, and to drive the cars.
