Still so much on the fence about this, I just don’t see how they can combine or make the knowledge of so many current movies charters aware of each other in their current movie time line, with out 1st explaining where they were when they could have been useful before, and now how do they go forward with the new single time line movies with out them showing up. I just hate when they mix current movie time line like that, I see no way to un-do it.
So in any new movie for any charter in the group movie, they should be showing up for battle to help the others from now on. Im just glad they didn’t ruin the new BatMan movie time line by tossing him in there. Should of added SpiderMan since they destroyed it already.

like a comic book, when you screw with a time line, writer and the charters changes, its not drawn 100% the same and you just change words, using all the same actors screws with that, don't like it.

you should read it before you totally give up on Watchmen.


I get what you are saying with the mix and match. but who's to say that they will continue each character's individual movie roles? Iron man will continue because its strong enough on its own, Captain America... I doubt it. Thor... yeah right, Hulk... nope... who else? oh yeah... Green Arrow... oh wait... he didn't have his own movie...lol


and they couldnt ruin the Batman timeline by mixing him in... because Batman is part of the DC universe.

the Avengers are all Marvel... (yes, I'm a nerd.. I know).

now... a superman/batman movie would be killer... or even a green lantern/batman/superman esque movie would be interesting.

I just hope they don't pass up the chance to foreshadow stuff like the Illuminati, or perhaps even the Civil War after the Superhuman Registration Act. The group is certainly going to have some growing pains, we've seen that from the trailer alone, but I wonder if they'll take the foreshadowing route where much of the friction isn't that they should fight evil, but how.

I also like that it looks like they're running with Clarke's third law - in that sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. By including Thor, Captain America/Hulk, and Iron Man, we're seeing the peaks of magical, biological, and mechanical prowess expressed at the same time.

I would submit that this'll be a make-or-break point. If the movie does well, it'll open up opportunities to do more obscure heroes. Ant-man, Doctor Strange, Black Bolt, the Kree-Skrull war, and so forth are all characters/plotlines which would help build the richness and depth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe...but unless they know that they can do an ensemble and have it work they may not be interested in doing one-offs just for them.
