That got added to my fall back list if by some freak of nature the Camaro is priced out of reach.

I'll consider it, too. I'd rather get a used SSR, though. Those things were sweet!

I loved the inclusion of an "old," hot-rodded SSR in The Island. But yeah, I'm liking the G8 truck.

2010 Pontiac G8 Sport Truck
I was wondering what Pontiac was planning since there wasn't much talk about reviving the Trans Am. Obviously we have the G8 and now, the G8 Sport Truck... I believe it's coming to America.
But why does this "new vehicle's" front end have to look the same as the old Transport minivan's? ![]() ![]() Anyway, I don't think this vehicle will sell very well due to lack of seating, especially priced at $31,000. Just doesn't seem practical unless GM offers an extended cab- but then it'd be a G8 sedan and no longer a sport pickup. ![]() Whatever.... you can read up and watch a video on it here. And GM is having a contest to see who can name the truck. [cough] El Camino. |

Well, it does look like a pontiac . . . you could also argue that it looks like a grand am or a grand prix. But at least GM seems to have gotten over its fascination with grey plastic clading. Could you imagine a new Camaro with that stuff?

Ah the Aztek, in case some of you don't know, I hate those things. I would really like to meet someone who likes the styling of them. I'm not sure if such a person exists though. They actually sold 25 new ones last year. This is despite being out of production since 2005. Wonder how many new ones are left . . . If I were a pontiac dealer with any left on my lot I would have been knocking the price off of them 2 years ago just to be rid of them. Right . . . The Pontiac G8 "yet to be named car-truck thing"
