I think you guys are forgetting one very important, basic thing. Sure, stickers will add hp, badges reduce drag resistance, hood spoilers help cool your windshield, and flushing your engine with water frequently will HELP this guy get a 5-second car, but we're forgetting the heart of the car.
IMVHO, I think a JDM twin-VTEC rotary engine would do the trick. Drop it in your 5th gen, and that alone will net you about 1,500 lb. in weight-savings. Putting in racing pistons and long-tube headers will get your rotary to about 950hp, which should be enough for the 5 sec. mark. And if you want it to be a sleeper, I think just one Type-R badge will do the trick. It adds power and people will not know what the hell you are driving. |
