Thats so awesome. Now I feel like I can try to find a one-owner used Acadia with around 30,000 miles on it and still have 2-3 years on warranty! Awesome!

If I was looking used i would seriously consider the Outlook as it seems to be 1000s less on the market than the rest.

One thing that bothers me is that customer reviews on edmunds.com of used 2008 and 2009 acadias speak of many problems.

Does anyone know if newer years worked out these issues? 2008 GM was in trouble so maybe the build quality wasnt as good? Im not buying for a couple years so I would be targeting 2010 or newer years.

Try checking a site like True Delta if you want reliability info. They have data on not only the repair frequency, but also things like 'Lemon Odds' for vehicles with a very high repair frequency as well as 'Nada Odds' for vehicles that haven't had any problems. Handy info if you're concerned about reliability.

*edit*
Consumer Guide Automotive (which, for some reason, is part of HowStuffWorks.com) usually has some useful info on common trouble spots for used vehicles.

I'm always frustrated when people compare starting prices. They're never a fair comparison.

In the first year, there were some drivability complaints later corrected by a powertrain calibration. The original cal was geared toward max fuel efficiency. Later vehicles were much improved.

BTW, the Outlook is cheaper simply because there are no Saturn dealers. But as with our Sky (now sold ) other GM dealers have taken on the Saturn service. So if you don't mind a dead brand that has all the same mechanicals (meaning no service worries) an Outlook is a good alternative to the Acadia.
