I am like the other poster who saw it at a concept car show in 2006 and said one day I will have one. I went to epcot here in Florida in May 2009 and they had a aqua blue on display and I HAD to have it. Went home and told my husband about it, he said go for it! I ordered my aqua blue on memeorial day!

The swelling in my right eye is finally going down and the doctor say I should be able to play the guitar again after the cast comes off. :0)

I've been pestering her about for well over a year, the then repo list came out at work and I saw it on there. Short story was the deal was just too sweet to pass up and for what I could have hoped to sell my 68 for on the high end and put a downstroke on a new one, I was able to keep the 68 and by a slightly used 2010 (Oct. of this year mind you) with only 5300 miles on it for $25k.

Suffice to say, I didnt ask. I told her (hence the black eye and the busted arm. )

As soon as I saw heard about them coming back I knew I had to have one. But, being 18 at the time, living in my parents place and saving for a house it didnt seem realistic. So, I drooled over them for a long time, I even bought a hot wheel one saying "well I'll never be able to afford a real one, so I might as well get this!"

Fast forward a couple years to this spring. I was driving home from working up north and my truck broke down (wheel bearing destroyed itself in my 96 Ram). I got it fixed enough to make the last half of the trip home and immediately started shopping for something reliable as I had $15000 saved up at the time. I went to Honda, Mazda and realized that a base model is $16000, but if you want any options, or a bit of performance it'll be $25000. So I called up a broker my dad got my mom's truck from and he said that he just happened to have a Camaro go through his lot and he would track it down.

I told the girlfriend I was gonna go look at a car and I would be back at the end of the day, came back with a 2010 SIM 1LT with a bunch of mods on it for $25000. Beats the hell out of a 2011 Mazda 3 GT for the same price!!

She knew I had been saving for a while and really wanted one so she was actually not surprised when I got home. Before I left I told my roommate I would be coming home with a Mazda 3 and he said "bullshit man! you could get a ****ing Camaro for that price!!"

That's an interesting way to find one. But you sure found a good one! Looks great! And I'm glad you didn't have to get rid of your '68.

I had a co-worker that had the forst GM Camaro poster for the 09 on his wall at work, I thought it looked ok, not as nice as a challanger and that was that.............until I saw the camaro in person, holy smoke shes beautiful.
I had shopped carlisle durint the 80's looking for a 67-69, never found one to my liking or budget, bought ss396 el camino and a 70 ss chevelle instead so I saw this as finally my opportunity to own one.

I went to the dealership and bought it............called her and said make room in driveway

Told her I am getting a camaro. She always said Why? They are ugly and can you buy a different car. So, 2 months roll by waiting for the camaro I ordered to come in. I have not told anyone I ordered one, not even her. The day comes where I pick it up and she fell in love with it. Funny how seeing it in person changes the feelings towards it.

We came to the decision together, because that's how it works in a good relationship. And she picked the colors.

Pretty simple:
She came home, saw the Camaro.
She asked who's car? I told her "ours".
She laughed, and said,
does it have a bed in it?

She was tired of hearing me bitch about BMW service every time I took my previous car in and she knew I was very unhappy about the "mandatory update" to reduce performance that they put on it during the 3 days it took them to replace my radio last month. Saturday she came home from the grocery store and said "I parked next to a Camaro convertible and it looked great. Why don't you go look at one of those?" Monday the BMW 135 was gone and I have the Camaro. It's what I really wanted when I bought the 135, but the convertibles weren't out when I bought it last year and I needed to buy a car right then.

I was lucky to find this wife (not so much with the first one).

Well my story is not nearly as exciting... My spouse wasn't my spouse just yet but I told her I a new Camaro! She says to me "But your Mustang is just fine and just about paid off." So I tell her, "It's just not the same." Two different dealers, 5 months to wait for the build (back when the order's were backed up, or so I was told.) later, and one Mustang less. I had my car. 2010 2LT RS. Now I get the stink eye when I mention upgrading to an SS (after having our new baby. Priorities man!)

I'm always looking for some type of car, usually used for a good deal. Wife likes cars also, never been a problem buying one. I had been looking at the Challengers and Camaros, but I had GM card $ so I was leaning towards a new Camaro. She always goes along when I finally find something I like and I'm ready to buy. I usually talk about it so much before I finally buy, she ends up saying buy it already I'm tired of hearing about. We usually agree on color and options, except this time she wanted the auto and I wanted the stick. She finally said just get the stick, I won't be driving it that much anyway. She does drive a stick very well.
