I love how folks who've not even had one know all about the c5 Vettes and make disparaging remarks!

OP...I had three c5 Vettes. Sold the last one when I bought my new Camaro. The one you've bought looks immaculate. Congrats! The first two things I did when I bought a 6 spd c5 Vette...new exhaust and a short throw shifter. No clue who thought the throw on those cars was good!

Just becasue its a Corvette, doesnt make it the end all be all Chevy. The OPs new car is nice, and he will probably enjoy it as much as the SS but a 2010 to a 2002... I don't care what it is save a Ferrari or Lamborghini... I would have stuck with the Camaro.

A C6Z... now thats another story... I just like the Camaro too much to be willing to part ways with it. Is it the end all be all Chevy... no, but I like it!
Jealous is my guess

One of the guys in the office here is looking for a C5 too. Sweet find. We build parts for both!

If anyone actually read his first post you would see that he stated he owned one. I also have a friend who owns one and he likes the Camaro more. In the end its everyone's personal opinion. Remember some people actually like Mustangs over Camaros too.

I never had any rattles out of my 99 or 04. Haven't owned a Z06 version though. Everyone's a critic and they know more then the previous person so whatever.......... Sorry for congratulating the OP

Thanks buddy...

To the others...

I have actually had a White 92 with the rare cloth seats, a maroon 95, a yellow 00 and black 07 prior to the Camaro... I personally just like the Camaro better. I love how everyone thinks because its a Corvette, its superior to the lowly Camaro...

Jealous... you be the judge.

What is this???

Oh and one really cool thing about the C5... not sure on the C6, never tried... you can lower them by the turn of a bolt. You can pretty much slam them down. I lowed mine about an inch just by adjusting a few bolts under the car.

Not sure if the C5Z is the same either... mine was not a Z.

i considered the c5z before the camaro since my boss back in the day had one and would let me borrow it..

but then once I sat down in one again, I forgot how bad the interior was

Great car, I hope to get one too. You must haven't have lost much money on it either. These things go for pretty cheap right now

I wasn't talking to or about him. I was talking about the others (like yourself) who haven't owned one.

I'm not even going to list all the Vettes I've owned, let's just say it's a much longer list than yours. I still have two, and I love my Camaro. Oh, and I don't think anyone called you jealous!

Same is true with lowering the c6 Vette. Mine is slammed. Looks gooood that way.

As for the column lock bypass, this link gives a brief description of the issue: http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=24
