That's what happens when the Mustangs use Chinese junk transmissions.

Those 32 complaints must have "vocal" enough to get the NHTSA to launch an investigation. At least Ford will be required to provide real numbers of how widespread the problem is and what steps they are taking to identify a solution. Hopefully it's just a few bad apples and no recall will be warranted.

Skip shift? That's extremely easy to drive around. I don't even know I have it until I see another thread about someone claiming it to be a problem.

The statement didn't distinguish which models of the Mustang were affected. I believe the V6 models use the Getrag and the 5.0L use a Tremec. My '08 GT has a TR3650 5spd.

The 2011 GT uses the Chinese made Getrag (sp?) and the GT500 uses the TR6060. The 3650 in your 08 is the same transmission used in the SN95 Cobra and maybe the early model S197 GT500, I couldn't say for sure on that one.

Yes, the 5.0 uses the Getrag, I'm not too sure about the BOSS. I've heard it referred to as an MT-80 or MT-82 but don't know if it's the same one as in the 5.0...
