Thanks for the Props from everyone and we are glad you enjoyed the pass.

BTW - I don't recall seeing a 5th Gen Camaro on the show. It would be great to see a Camaro5.com member making a TV pass. Someone, anyone?!?!?!?

I've added the video to youtube for those who missed the show.

Congratulations Dad, you have a great daughter. Talented and beautiful - and the bikes not bad either. I ride a Kawasaki too.

What do you have? Is it a 14? Have you made a 1/4 mile pass yet?

Also, is there another link to the vid, it isn't working for me(I am on my phone)
Try this one. It's quite large in size so is may be slow to fully load.

It's a 2008 ZX14.

The bike is setup to run in the AMA Drag Bike Super Sport Class. It's a very restrictive class that did not allow extended wheelbase bikes which is why you see the bike still setup with a short wheelbase. There is also a minimum race weight of 680 lbs so we had to add the maximum allowance of 45 lbs of ballast and run a full tank of fuel and with Erica on the bike it barely made the weight requirements.

The bike has many finite refinements that are allowed such as Ceramic wheel bearings, lowered to 2" ground clearance, Brock's Titanium / Carbon Fiber Pipe, PowerCommander and one hell of a tune thanks to our mechanic and Brock's Performance. As for the engine, AMA Drag Bike allowed only minor mods but our bike has never been opened or modified and still made 196 rwhp. With that kind of hp it's an animal to launch.

Best times to-date are;

60' = 1.50
1/4 mile ET's = 9.13 / 9.16 / 9.19 / 9.21
1/4 mile mph = 157

Good observation!

It's on the list of mods but it works better on a Stretched Bike as they tend to deal with abrupt throttle action better that a short wheelbase bike. The 1/5th throttle turn on Erica's bike would make it extremely hard to launch. One little error either on or off the throttle and you blow your 60' time by a huge amount so a hair-trigger throttle on a short wheelbase bike with 196 rwhp can be a bit tricky to say the least.

Well as it turns out, another reason the bike only ran a 9.50 was that the engine was going away. We were in the process of melting pistons due to the agressive tune.

Now for the update; We commissioned Adams Performance to build a bad azz motor for the bike.

1510 cc (Overbored 2 mil and Stroked 4 mil)
14.5:1 Cr
Billet Aluminum Flat Oil Pan
Custom Cams, retainers, springs etc
Programmable MSD Ignition
Slammed the chassis to the ground
New Brock's Performance TiWinder Exhaust
VP C12 Fuel
And much more...

Just dyno'd last Saturday Night with remarkable results.

234 RWHP (Engine builders says it'll make 240+ using MRX01 Fuel)
108 ft-lbs/tq
189 mph Wheel Speed in 5th gear

We still plan to run the Stock Wheel Base (no wheelie bar) and are in search of 8.5's to 8.6's.
