^ interesting comment. As you can imagine, the G8 boards are all over these and IIRC, the patrol version had a special seat to accommodating the waist accessories. The version you drove, patrol or detective?

does the 6L seem a bit weak? or am I expecting too much here? seems like that should be in the 390+ area

It has the makings of a modern "Blues-mobile"...cop-equipped! A set of Camaro LS wheels would complete the "undercover" look...

The G8 had a ton more styling to it than that.

Caprice makes a good cop car and taxi.... but as a performance sedan - boring.

Bring back the G8 untouched except for an Impala SS badge, and it would sell gangbusters. Give it the unused LS3 production from the Vette's dismal sales, auto or stick, no AFM, = winner. V6 base model to boost volume... Build it in the US, instead of losing all profits shipping parts and vehicles all over the world...

Its probably a truck engine tuned for regular gas and built to work hard, not fast.

I guess I see the sense in a long lifed engine, but wouldn't it seem like it should be more geared towards pursuit then hard work like pulling stuff? guess my mind ain't right

Does anyone want pics of anything specific on the Caprice? Probably won't be able to show you guys until our story is released, but just thought I'd ask.

if you could get some good exterior pictures of the rear sides and front, and dash/instrument cluster pictures that would be sweet.

I like it, then i like understated cars. My only real styling issue with the body ist the rear of the roof/rear make me hink of the last gen Kia Optima.

"Work" in this case means running/idling/chasing/idling/donuts/idling...24/7/365...which, believe it or not, is hard work for an engine...

As to "high speed pursuit", it doesn't matter if it goes 140 or 160... I learned a l o n g time ago the fastest thing cops have is a two-way radio!
