In all cases, it's never smart or wise to drive a vehicle without shoes on your feet. For one, if you ever needed to exit the vehicle in a hurry due to an accident, your feet could be severely injured due to glass, liquids, and of course electrical/fire issues. Also, the fact that your shoes offer you better grip than your feet can in a lot of cases may also assist you in escaping your vehicle. There's also the chance you need to kick out a window.

The best advice I can give is just to wear a pair of running shoes that can be easily slipped on or off in the car when wearing nice/rarely worn shoes. Even I do that when I wear dress shoes, as it doesn't feel the same as it does with my tennis shoes/work boots.
Thank you for a serious answer, as it was a serious question! I wasn't at all surprised by the foot fetish responses, though!

Anytime! As the guys have all said, there's not a man that doesn't appreciate a woman in heels, especially one in a muscle car.

Having said that, I'd rather she got home and stepped into my bedroom with the heels on safe and sound.

Good luck with whatever course you choose!

Dunno about that, but it's much more comfortable! Just put it on cruise and slip of the shoes.... totally didn't plan for that to rhyme. Anyway, I always slip my shoes back on if I'm planning on making a stop. Mind ya that's only on multi-hour trips.

Best advice to the OP: Where a set of normal shoes that are comfy to drive in, slip your heels on once you reach your destination. Safest way to go about it.

Never heard of that one in our code book in DE. Besides its unenforceable and I would consider it a "chicken shit" charge to write for it --- unless it caused an accident somehow but most likely I would be able to attribute it to something else like "Upflying" stated
