Sound like you problem is at the dealership level not directly with GM. I have been pre- order since Oct. of 2008 and I can't blame my dealership for not knowing about all the details for a 2010 model that will not start production until March 09. Before I got to the boiling point I educated my dealer about sight's such as Camaro5 so they could get the right info and get back to me with the details. No dealership is 100% and I have found that to be true and basic business 101 says to try to achieve 100% is not cost effective and 80% is the break over point. Meaning you spend more to trying to get that extra 20% then you gain. That being said a dealership should always put the costumer as priority #1, but your never going to please everyone. Should GM spot check dealerships for a quality control, because the dealer is who represents them at the consumer level 100% yes. My 2 cents.

For the past couple of years I think that, other than Camaro Scotty, we have all been able to go to the dealer and 'inform' them of the latest on the new Camaro. That will be evening out really soon.

But you're right. I don't know many dealers that have been advertising to come and buy a new Camaro. In fact, my dealer (or at least the ones there that day) didn't even know and weren't prepared to take orders. I couldn't order anyway but I stop by from time to time to talk.

I probably better go out of town to buy mine. I've definately got 'SUCKER' written on my forhead as bad as they know I want this car.

Yep I talk with my dealer a few times a month since the order to help them stay posted and they at time beat me to the punch. So I believe education is key. Even not being 100% happy with them at times (over a few overlook issues on my 2500hd) they are a lot better then the last two dealerships I done business with and striving to improve.

No offense to Canadians but let them develop their own vehicles and let them hire Canadians to build them. Let them help their own economy and we'll help ours. 'Nuff said. Let the flaming begin. I'm ready.
HA! Hard to say that without anybody taking offense. Before i say something to get my "Proud to Be Canadian" ass banned, i will say this;
Without Canada, the US would be a crippled 2nd world country. Canada wouldn't be very well off either.
There is so much that we share back and forth, and stuff that our country openly "trades" with the US, even thought we still get ****ing shafted over it. (softwood lumber, fresh water, vehicles, electricity just to name a few)

So to sum up quickly, if you want us all to go back to the early 1900's and start again, GO AHEAD! Until then GET OVER IT!
We're your northern neighbors that heavily depend on you, and whether YOU realize it or not, the US heavily relies on Canada as well.

Sounds like more of an "All American, uninformed" generalization to me.

Most of us get it just a few who don't. Just keep rocking the reservation at Brocket 99 and play some ACDC.

Some just need economics and history lessons. Canada rocks. I think you guys know it is a vast minority who beleives otherwise. Besides, in another decade or so we will be Canada. lol Especially if the global cooling continues. lol

I am proud to be an American who has served my country and will love and defend the principles that made her the greatest country in the world. When some hear it said that we would not survive without Canada they get all offended. It's much like the auto industry. If the mighty GM went down belly-up then it would bring down the rest like a house of cards. We hold each other up and some don't reallize it.

I wouldn't disrespect Canada, if anything I wish America would adopt some of your traits, like enforcing our imigration laws and universal health care, But I have no delusions about GM's marketing strategy. "American Revolution" is meant to imply American Made, will be believed by many and is untrue. As far as being a 2nd world Country, maybe you could define that for me?

I'm definitely versed on history and Capitalism, and I suppose I should have mentioned that it isn't just the US having economic difficulty right now. Building American in America is really just an old fashioned ideal concept (if believed by Americans), but I'm really not that naive enough to seriously believe that. Canada is a great nation undoubtedly. Maybe my analogy is wrong but wouldn't it be like saying "Hockey = American" and DAMN, I love my hockey!

Well, they can keep their Hockey. Never really did anything for me. But then again I think the same about NASCAR. If someone isn't winning under caution, they win under rain. At least so it seems.

I used to live in Seattle. When you're under 21, Canada sure is much more fun than the US.
