I think it would be fair if 1-2 enthusiasts were in it depending on the size of the panel.

Edit: yay I didn't use politics :O =P

Considering who Obama has appointed so far to everything else, the only enthusiasts he will be appointing will probably really have a hatred for SUV's, sports cars and big oil.. But it would be nice if true enthusiasts would be on the panel that could knock some sense into the whole thing..Blur should be on the panel..

Panther Lobby members, start calling the White House (202 456 1111) to encourage the following agenda:
• an end to CAFE
• offering tax breaks to green automakers instead of punishments from the EPA
• an American autobahn or highways without speed limits in certain areas
• higher speed limits
• better highway law enforcement training
• more accurate EPA efficiency ratings

For the bold faced thing, you do realize why it is not possible to do this without spending a crap ton of money right?

Oh I agree, for those of you that don't know. The Interstate was designed by Eisenhower in the 50's. Basically, the roads were designed to be cheap to rebuild, however, they don't last long. The autobahn on the other hand, is more expensive to build, but has a longer life (I think it lasts over 3x as long with equivalent traffic- due to deeper concrete and other things) Because of this, there is less surface wear and better conditions for high speed driving. As well as banked curves, etc.

In my opinion, they should just upgrade as they rebuild...I don't see the mentality on continuing a system that is over 60 years old. This will spread the cost out over time as well.

thats what the stimulus is supposed to be for. Put people to work and at the same time work on infrastructure.

I'm scared to type anything.

SShhhh, most of the panel's history might be a little hazy..Once they learn of what you said, the auto panel will probably make restrictions as to how heavy cars can be so they don't wear out the roads as quickly.. That and offer tax rebates to those people who's combined weight with the car is less than 1,500 pounds..

All I want is my Camaro SS on my driveway and a road to drive it on.. I'm hoping 8 years from now, I can buy myself the next generation Camaro or Firebird (meaning muscle cars still exist in America with reasonable prices).. Us enthusiasts are not going away even though we may be getting older..I will fight for our rights every chance I get...God Bless America..
