How exciting...yet another "I got pulled over.......but didn't get a ticket" thread..

How terrible for you. I hope that officer didn't ruin your day or kill any trees with all those verbal warnings he threw at you.

????

care to let me know how much money bankrupt Cali made from this guy's verbal warning? If they were really scrambling to stop anything for a big bust because they had no funds.... you don't think they might issue some tickets in the process?

I had my dealer plates for a whole year and never got pulled over...just luck I guess! I did get pulled over twice, once for speeding and the other time for tint but both occasions he didn't mention anything about my plates and I had bought the car like six months prior.

Kinda looks like you have no intention of putting a plate on. Not surprised he stopped you.

This. While I haven't been to every state and I don't know every state law, pretty sure at least most require a rear plate.

Around NorCal, lot's of folks run without tags. Motives are:
1. Avoid speed camera and red light camera tickets
2. Avoid paying bridge tolls while driving through "Fastrack" lanes
3. Avoid paying renewal license and registrations fees
4. Avoid detection while driving a stolen car and/or other crime

Many cars run without front plates..even though one is required.

Weird that CA has you put it in the front for temps.

But ya, I can see why a cop would pull you over for no rear plates liek that - it looks like it's permanent, so he wouldn't know you were just waiting for your real plates.

Sorry to hear that you got hassled - get those plates on!

And sucky year for our Horns, but hey, everyone has down years. Let's just maek sure that it's not two in a row. Been a sucky year for Texas football (between UT, the Texans and the Cowboys)
