Thursday and Friday Except my 2 holiday time off has been CANCELLED!

Stupid emergency at work. The reactor had to come offline for repairs... Atleast I got upgraded to "lead" status and Thurs & Fri will be double time plus holiday pay.

More Camaro money for me!!!!

Monday is our normal day off anyway, and we are taking half a day for Friday.

Normally I would be working on the 24th (postie) and have Monday and Tuesday off but this year I am on vacation this week and next.

We get the week off between Christmas and New Years, including Dec. 24th. Return to work Jan. 3rd.

I get neither of your options. I only get Friday off. However I do get the following Friday off for New Years Eve

Figured if they still had some last minute things to do,Monday would be too late..

Well that was exactly my reasoning as well. Having the days after Christmas off is kind of boring. Who wants to sit around after Christmas?

Where I work, this is how it works....ALWAYS. And for starters, you need to realize I work 4 days a week/10 hours a day and our WEEKEND is Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. We have two COMPANY OBSERVED holidays, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.....IF either of this days falls on a weekend (Friday thru Sunday) the holiday is observed as follows:
If Christmas Eve is on Thursday , then we have the following Monday off.
If BOTH Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are on the weekend, we get Thursday and Monday off.
If Chriastmas Eve is on Sunday, we get Thursday off, and Monday Off as its a holiday.
THUS if those two holidays are CONNECTED to weekend in anyway.....we have a 5 daqy weekend.

BUT....IF or should I say WHEN Christmas Eve and Christmas falls on Tuesday and Wednesday.....all we get is those two days off.....unless we take vacation days off that week to have off Monday and/or Thursday off.

SO this year.....I have off Thursday thru Monday OFF for the Holiday.

I have Thursday & Friday off for Christmas.

And for once, we have New Years Eve off this year. We usually work, and the big boss let's us go a little early.
