don't do it. it's not worth it. what did you post on craigslist? everytime i post anything on there i get these scammers with a similar story

It is possible that this isn't a scam, but I wouldn't give the account number.
Talk to your bank first. As someone else said, they may be able to set up an escrow account (seperate account number) to do this transaction only.
