Went to the site and says "Minimum 140hp/120tq". So guess they arent saying yet what it makes. Ive been around bikes since I was born. Father is the manager of a Kawasaki dealer, and has been my whole life. I have always been on bikes and love them. The newest ZX-10 is gonna be a killer. Almost ZX-14 power and only 375lbs. Should be scary as hell to ride. I cant wait!!!

That was one cool video. Nice job on the engine guys. Glad to see there is some American ingenuity left for us to praise. Once they sort out the fuel I can see this baby making well over 200 hp.

Now all we gotta do is lobby GM for a pushrod 6 instead of the LLT for the Camaro.

"But wait, isn't that 'not progress?'"

Not when you use your noggin like these guys..

What other info do you have that makes you think it will easily make 60% more power???

Because they designed it from the onset pretty much detuned for economy. If you'd like to provide us information on the contrary and bash a whole new engine that was built from scratch by a bunch of guys sketching crap on a napkin..

Be my guest. But for gods sake man.. do you think the first V8 cars made 412hp? They were sidevalve jobs that could barely make over what.. 85hp?

This is going to start a revolution. Can you imagine the next generation of performance 4-bangers that might come from this? Imagine a 4-cylinder engine with exactly have the power of a V8. Imagine V8s made from mated V4s. There is some real cost-cutting infrastructure that can come from this. I can't wait to see how this gets implemented into future projects.

So what makes you think it can gain 60hp just from fuel issues? I am not bashing, im presenting a fact that 140hp for 1.6Liters isnt very impressive yet. sure theres more power to be found in any engine but what do you actually know about it to KNOW its only "fueling issues" away from a 50% gain in horsepower?? C'mon man be realistic.

Once again go back and read the rating. It states a minimum of 140. So as of now there is no given number for the engine. It could be the 200 hp that hes estimating at. No one is sure what it make but the company, and Katech. Knowing Katechs history of engines, its making more than 140hp.
