I'm on the fence regarding tinkering with the BCS much more.

On the one hand, I like bowl games for teams that are out of the national championship hunt. I think it rewards the fans and alumni of those schools better than a playoff system.

On the other hand, a single elimination tourney of only undefeated's would resolve all questions of who the champion is, but it only rewards the one team that wins. All the other teams are losers.
Me and my son stayed up till about 2am and solved all of college footballs problems. So it's all good......

This is 07 all over again talented team but you dont know which one will show up this week or next.

As PQ said last year just make this year end so we can start over.

Texas Fans are not used to this by any means. So right now there is a lot of HEAT in the air.

There is no reason in hell we should have lost the game Saturday . if you watched the game Texas players stood around like zombies and let ISU WR"s run all around them it was almost middle school looking secondary.

SAD

Props to ISU for beating us for the first time..... always a first for everything.

if it was up to me right now I would start playing back up's just to see what we have and dont have.

im not throwing my team under the bus as im staying with them win or lose however we gotta get our heads on right this who is going to show up this week gets old fast.

If they dont show up this week I hope Fans boycott the next game when 100K people dont show up that will say enough for sure imo.

sometimes you got to dam near sink the boat to get it to start.

Playing, maybe, 1 top 25 team, I don't think so. At least Utah and TCU play a top 10 team, Boise not so much.

I heard a comment on the radio that was very valid. Look at the top temas in the BCS especially number 1's that have lost. Boise could not play three top teams in a row and stay undeafeted. Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma could do it, what in the world makes people think Boise could do it.

Sorry Boise State fans, but this year's National Champs will likely be a 1 loss team from one of the big BCS conferences.

I agree with both of these things and I'm probably the closest thing to a pro-BSU guy here. I still think the best matchup for BSU would be Oregon vs BSU at the Rose Bowl. I don't think Oregon could hang with 3 #1s in a row either. I like a good underdog story myself, and I definitely want to see them in a big bowl- but not the championship.

I think both Boise and TCU are underrated, but we'll never know for sure. I'm just hoping we don't end up with them playing each other in a bowl again, they each should face a top big-conference team.

I'd like to see Boise St vs. Auburn, and TCU vs. Oregon.

That'd be good too. Quick way to find out if they're overrated.

Boise State doesn't even play a top 50 team after the two "ranked" teams.

It's not that they don't play 'Ranked' teams. (and they rarely ever do) It's that the rest of their schedule is the equivelant of OU or Bama or Ohio St. scheduling Ball State 10 times.

Hey what is up with Stoops saying he punted just to keep the score close, so he wouldn't lose by more.

He knew that they probably wouldn't get the 1st down which would leave Mizzou just a couple yards from the endzone and Mizzou would definitely score again as they had most of the night. So to lessen the margin of loss and make it look like less of an ass whippin in the poll voters eyes, he decided to punt. As a Mizzou fan, I loved it of course. But I did wonder how the OU fans felt about them conceding defeat with over two minutes left in the game down 9 pts. It seems to me that at that point, the ranking and perception of the school became more important than getting a win.

I understand why he did it, but what I don't understand is why he said anything about it.

His reasoning was that he thinks a 1 loss team will make into the BSCCG, becuase other teams will fall. His arguement is going to be , if all goes right, that Alabama lost to South Carolina by 14, Oklahoma only lost by 9 an I beleive tha Missouri was ranked higher at the time than South Carolina....

Last week Auburn beat LSU by 7 points, in the late minutes of the game Auburn had the ball on the 5 yd line and surely could have scored to increase the margin to 14, but chose to kneel down, class act.

Maybe because Missouri had not beaten Oklahoma they would have tried to score again but I really don't doubt it. I think they were just happy to win as they should be. They actually gave it to them pretty good, but you know what, so what if Missouri would have scored again, it's not like Oklahoma hadn't spanked people alot worse than 14 points.

I just think it was chessy but the coach.
