i like the center of the galaxy theory myself...... i mean the olny thing i know is the ancients know alot about the galaxy. star charts ancient egypt, and all. i think there is something that is probably coming. tho it might be a self-fulled prophecy.....
I read a lot and think a lot about anything and everything.

for instance, some "experts" ran a search thru the bible code for things like "twin towers" "airplane" etc. and got results....
ok...

first off... where was this prophecy sept 10?

and with the amount of possible word outcomes, if you look for something you will find it. hell you can look up "Camaro" and "doomsday" and find something.

not saying Nostradomus' writings werent prophetical, but they are too vague to be put onto one thing until AFTER something happens, then you can look back and associate it with what was written.

There is one theory that in 2012 that when the planets align the poles will shift, causing earthquakes, volcanos, and potentially some gravity issues.

It's funny though how things have escalated in the last 2 or 3 years regarding the Mayan Calendar. When I had first heard about this 10 years ago, the "prophecy" was that machines and pets would go haywire and attack us.

The Mayans were smart because they figured out how to track the moon, sun, and stars and use it to tell time. However, I seriously doubt that knew down to the minute when the world would end. These are the same people that would cut out the heart of a soldier, build a fire in his empty chest, and then have every town leader light a torch from the chest fire and take it back to their village so they could celebrate their sacrifice to the Sun god. And if the sun came up that next morning, they would be happy.

We need to stop worrying about a specific date and get more observatories (on earth and in space) watching out for something that might hit us. We are over due for that to happen, and we only watch about 30% of the sky ( if i recall correctly).

Quite the contrary, I just dont see them having a large part to play in 2012.

And there's a very strong sentiment that his writings were simply reflections of what was occurring during HIS time...problem is, if he called somebody important a nasty name; he'd be killed. Hence the vagueness.

That's in addition to the fact that nobody knows what the heck he's talking about until AFTER it happens...that's useful.

Hmm. I wonder if the Mayans ever figured out when Camaros would start being delivered to dealers...that's some useful info right there.

You know the whole thing with Y2k and what people thought of it just torques me off... How many people actually KNEW what the problem was.. The problem was that the date system in windows/linux/Macs would reset to 1968 instead of 2000. THAT'S IT. The only ones effected would have been banks and date related documents.. the world isn't going to end because of a computer bug...

Still torques me off that some people don't even know what the problem was yet add it to the list of "doomsdays".

It will end when the sun expands and eventually consumes it. Thats not happening for a few billion years though. In the short term, if you ever catch me driving a pruis, then you know the world is about to end. How will it end? An advanced alien species will come to destroy the earth with a "Star of Death"
