Ouch ya
I see my ankle ones but...I've had one since I was 18 so half the time I still forget -- kinda like it's been there forever
And I can never remember how big the one on back of my shoulder is - I still see ti sometimes like "oh ya, that's big" (and I have to stop and think which side it's on )...
Terrible...LOL

Tattoos are like art. You can appreciate some as they are, but sometimes the canvas needs a lot of work. Not everyone will like your tats. You got to really love it to stick it on yourself forever. Personally? I'm no fan of tats, but if you want one, go get it.

BTW, I find many of the tats in this thread to be utterly stupid and absurd and make a mockery out of tattoos as an art form. I don't usually pee in people's cornflakes because to each their own as it were, but artistic freedoms coupled with extremely poor (or total lack of) judgement for some of these examples IMO...well, there are simply no words in the English language to describe...

Agreed -- each person likes differen't things -- as long as you are happy with it years down the road and don't feel stupid about tattooing your belly button to look like a cats ass.....

To the bolded statement --
I love the one on the back of my shoulder b/c I got it to honor my cousin when he passed away - it's a little piece of him that I keep with me since his life was cut way too short.
It's a lot bigger then planned but i have never regretted it - in fact, it's prob my favorite....

Don't have any nor plan to get any, but it's your body, do what you want to it. As for how it will look when you're 70 - no one looks good when they're 70, so do what you want!

Personally, I've never found an image or slogan so earthshatteringly awesome that I wanted it stuck on my body forever.

I loooooove tattoos on women if done artistically. Some dude's name in cursive on your neck or boob comes off as trailer park to me, but sleeves in the name of art are teh secks.

I'm way too ADD to get a tattoo. I know if I get one that I'll hate it in a month or before it heals.

I used to want one when they were few but now it seems that everyone has one, so to be different, I don't have one.
