Can you explain the science behind earth age theory?
I haven't done the research myself but I think can explain it, as well as why most arguments for a young Earth are invalid. It might take a while to explain it all, but I know the underlying concepts well enough.

I was trying to get you to actually explain it.

Old earth theory starts with a uniformitarianism hypothesis. Young earth theory starts with catastrophism.

Probably too much here to discuss on this forum, but what I've found is that 99.99% of people don't really know why they believe what they believe. They only believe it because someone told them and all their friends believe it too, so it must be true, and they freely repeat it as fact without actually knowing anything about it themselves.
