I first used paper (I had a large roll of brown paper masking from a paint job) to cutout templates and then put it on top of the shield and cut from there. The prep work and template making is tedious, but done right will ensure the heat shield sticks well and fits.

Here is a picture of my tunnel with all heat shields replaced by the DEI adhesive hear shield.

Very nice!!! Add that to my list of winter projects when I install the Hendrix offset bushings and a 1 piece driveshaft.

Drive Shaft Shop came through on replacing my bad aluminum one with their new improved one. Not sure what was improved with the new 2.0 version, but I’m not complaining.

Since I have a Carbon Fiber driveshaft already installed, I’m selling this new aluminum one. Anyone interested? $850

Still in original shipped packaging. Only opened to take pictures.

I’m located in SoCal (Azusa to be exact)

Very nice job 👍 What did you use to cut it and how is it holding up/staying on?

Looks like KDS4 T8 is the material 350 stands for 3.5" and 125 is .125 wall thickness. Same tube used by Gulf Coast and Sonnax.

Did you have the DEI heat shield on with the aluminum DS before you switched to the CF shaft?

UPDATE- per pm I got from dma05
“ Not at first, but once I found it was hitting the existing sheet metal heat shields, I removed them and then added the DEI. The DEI stuff has been on for both the aluminum and carbon fiber driveshafts.”

Well installed the shaft, Vibration at 80 and above, rotated both adapters two bolts holes ( can't do exact 180 unless you remove the u joints ) Vibration better at 80 but still there and bad at 100 MPH. I am kot happy about this. Gulf Coast aluminum.
