Exactly why this as an amazing V8 with AWD would be a perfect sell. AMG has already gone to some AWD cars and supposedly BMW is going to start moving that way as well, and as you know audi is AWD on all S and RS cars. I'd love to have an option of a car that offers near ZL1 track ability, a near cadillac quality interior and sub 3 sec 0-60, as long as they could keep the weight at or under 4,000 lbs.

Much like the Camaro, it really doesn't matter that a small group of enthusiasts think the car is a bargain. The general public doesn't. The problem is that Cadillac spent the last 40 years shafting their customers and releasing sub-par products. So, while they may have some nice vehicles in the line-up now, the Cadillac brand doesn't carry the same pedigree of the German counterparts. As a result, people are willing to buy what you may consider a lesser vehicle due to that perception. They also don't have to deal with CUE in the competition, which is absolutely worth trading a few 0-60 tenths for the privilege.

Really Audi is the only full-line luxury brand posting growth thanks to a strong and cheap crossover lineup.

Cadillac globally, sales are up over 20% thanks largely to China.
Their sales are still down, and were so abysmal in the midyear that articles were churning out left and right about their poor sales numbers. The only thing that sold well was the Escalade, and I'd be interested to see how much had to be taken off the sticker price of each model to bring in that YTD figure.

I think that Avista would be great, but it needs a twin turbo 6 or 8 cylinder engine to pay homage to the GN.
