my job title is solidworks drafter/designer. everyone in my department has two monitors. they give me one. i ask my boss for a second one, he puts in the request. a couple days later, they email me telling me my second monitor is ready to be picked up. (wtf?! isn't it their job to install it?!)

So i go pick it up. come back to my desk (which is across the building, a good 100 yards). try to plug the power cable in, but it's the wrong one.

. so i go back, talk to one of the guys who's just bullshitting with some lady, says i have to talk to the other IT guy...again, wtf? I go in another room and tell the other IT guy that they gave me the wrong power cable. i think to myself, oh wait, he's on the phone. NOPE, just setting up his personal voicemail.

after 5 minutes or so, i tell him they gave me the wrong one. so i get the right one and head back to my desk and plug in the power.

so now i'm sitting here, still not using my second monitor, because they gave me the wrong vga cable...all this could have been prevented, had they done their job, walked down to my office, looked at what i needed, and DID THEIR JOB to install it. FML.
