X2 may or may not have a bad pinion bearing. Or axle bearings. Or possibly a tooth missing from my pinion gear.

Has a very loud, very annoying clicking/grinding on deceleration in any gear (goes away when power is applied) - started suddenly today.

Hoping its not an expensive fix. I'd be very sad.

POTD

looks like a normal convoy of WWII vehicles, right?

Well, they're not real:

They were part of a massive deception operation during the preparations for D-Day. The allies convinced the Germans that there was a vast army, stationed around Dover. In addtion to to fake equipment (which was moved around daily), there were reports of sports matches between fake units in the newspapers, the commanding officer was General George S Patton, and all wireless communication from the real army was routed (via telephone cable) to Dover and broadcast from there. In the end, it was so convincing that the Germans believed the D-Day landings in Normandy were a diversionary attack and withheld their reserves until it was too late.

Xanthos...

Remember how you were always trying to get me to get GM to build you a RWD Buick coupe?

Well...what if one is on the way?

Not sure how grand it will be, but I'm sure it would be a nice car to drive through the French Riviera.
