Wait for track times/numbers. GT500s are a solid ~3800-3900. This should be in the low 4k range, so if it is only a 200-300lb difference it could be a really good race in a straight line for the gt500/hellcat.

Hellcat Challenger and Charger are going to be in the 4500lbs range and they have tested it against the GT 500 and are claiming that it is faster than that Ford and the top Vette

GM has a history of not allowing any of their cars to have more power than the Vette only year that I know of was the 1988 GN and Chevy was not happy about that. So unless GM changes that rule then Vette would have to hold the banner against the Challenger, and don't forget that the Viper will more than likely get some big power in the future.

Ok so if the NG Camaro gets it's lighter weight Alpha chassis and the 650 hp LT4 from the Z06 then I don't think this is even a contest. But gnats a couple of years from now.

If the Dodge Viper SRT barely beat the ZR1 in a straight line, I don't see how this could beat the C7 Zo6...I've been reading about the challenger and supposedly it weighs almost 4,400lbs!!!
