Okay, Tachy means time, from Greek, I think.
Phyl has something to do with plants and their leaves, as in Chlorophyl.
Axis means something around which other things turn.

Could your word mean leaves turning round over time, like a sunflower turns its 'face' to follow the Sun?

Nope - it's medical lingo, related to drugs (as a pharmacist, it's something I see pretty regularly) - maybe that makes it too difficult???

NICE off the med terms for a bit!

comes from the word obstruct, in this case a bullets expansion to obstruct the gasses causing the pressure to "push" the bullet out of the muzzle of a gun!
