Congratulations Janice you have earned it. I am one of the fortune ones in that my wife gets a pension. Right now the NYS pension she gets is very well funded and stable. We also have been able to save a decent amount in 401k plans since we never had children. That is why we are aiming for an early one i will be 60 and she will be 55. Now I just need to stay the course for 5 more years. Trick I love those Cuba pictures looks like a beautiful country.

Jan — what a great retirement party. That cake is neat. Even had some camaros on it. Racing to retirement is a nice touch for you.

Trick — what a great trip. The old cars are funny to see. Wonder about parts for them ??

Everyone have a safe holiday !!

John

Trick great pics from Cuba. I watched what they did for car parts on Velocity unbelievable what they do making parts that don't even belong on their model work. Took the camaro to a BOCES Tech School a week ago 80 miles to the show rained all the way & all day up until an hour before the trophies. I took home a special award for outstanding late model.
There are no classes and the kids at the school pic out the winning cars. Plus they make all theeir own trophies.

Spike — You sure can make it shine !! The Cubans probably smuggle our car parts like we do their cigars.

Cuba is definitely a step back in time. Since they haven't been able to trade with the United States our tour guide told us they fabricate all the parts. He also told us that a lot of the cars have been re-powered with diesel engines. Not converting a gas engine to diesel but actually replacing the gas engine with a diesel engine.

Cuban cigars are expensive!!! 15 Cohiba cigars were $175 at a Cuban state store. I bought them for my friends. I hope they ENJOY them!!!
